Bayswater Exploration & Production Makes Major Commitment to Continuous Air Emissions Monitoring
Selects the Project Canary Solution to Monitor, Report and Gather Air Emissions Data
DENVER, Feb. 24, 2020 — Bayswater Exploration & Production, a leading oil and gas producer with significant operations in Colorado, today announced that it has made a major commitment to sustainability by joining the Continuous Monitoring Program, a partnership with the Payne Institute for Public Policy at the Colorado School of Mines and emissions monitoring company Project Canary.
In a press release, Bayswater announced by mid-2020 it will install monitoring devices at locations encompassing approximately 99% of its production in Colorado’s DJ Basin.
“We have a high level of confidence in our operational practices,” said Steve Struna, Bayswater President and Chief Executive Officer. “This unparalleled commitment and partnership provides us with an additional level of assurance through third-party review of air quality data from our oil and natural gas operations.”
“Colorado has the strictest air regulations in the country, along with the most environmentally responsible oil and natural gas production nationwide. Our continuous monitoring further demonstrates Bayswater’s commitment to environmentally responsible oil and natural gas development and production. This gives our stakeholders, including regulators, local communities, neighbors, and investors, even greater confidence that we adhere to the highest operational standards.”
The Bayswater announcement follows the January 16, 2020 news from Crestone Peak Resources announcing that company’s participation in the Continuous Monitoring Program.
