Patricia Vega

Patricia is the founder and CEO of Quantum New Energy (QNE), a ClimateTech Company based in Houston helping companies advance sustainability strategy and deliver ESG results. QNE’s AI-driven sustainability software helps deliver Net-Zero goals by leveraging data to operationalize targets, enabling near real-time tracking and proactive management. Aided by curated recommendations, users can set up cost-optimized carbon reduction pathways to deliver their GHG targets, reduce costs, and streamline reporting. The platform also enables a smart energy prosumer network to foster sustainability culture programs and to generate an aggregated pool of localized carbon offsets.
Ms. Vega is also a Digital and Energy Transition Leader with 25 years of experience developing and executing value-creation strategies that balance financial performance with enterprise risk management, governance, and fiduciary responsibility. Her multi-disciplinary experience spans from Fortune 100 companies to start-ups. Preceding her entrepreneurial venture with QNE, Patricia worked for GE serving as President & CEO of the Global Evaluation & Optimization business. Prior to that, she was President & CEO of GE Oil & Gas Latin America. Before joining GE, Patricia worked for Halliburton and Baker Hughes. Patricia started her career as a field engineer with BP and Schlumberger.
Patricia’s education includes studies in Corporate Sustainability Strategy from Yale University, a certificate in Energy Innovation from Stanford University, an M.B.A. from Thunderbird, an M.S. in Technology and Engineering Management from Oklahoma State University, OSU, and a B.S. in Petroleum Engineering. She currently serves as an advisory board member for OSU’s college of Technology and Engineering and as a volunteer leading the Equity Working group for Houston’s Climate Action Plan.
Vega is a recipient of Baker Hughes’ chairman award in recognition of her Diversity & Inclusion advocacy and her service in founding the company Women’s Network. She is a servant leader and a lifelong learner that strives to stay human, humble, and curious. She is happily married and the proud mother of two talented & strong daughters with careers in STEM.
