Anthony Kinslow II, Ph.D

Anthony Kinslow II, Ph.D. primary focus is accelerating the U.S. transition to a clean energy economy. Anthony argues that without prioritizing the engagement and education of marginalized communities the transition will be slow, expensive, and inequitable. He has spent the last decade working toward this goal through researching, implementing, and educating on energy efficiency. Anthony is the Founder & CEO of Gemini Energy Solutions, which provides investment-grade energy audits to the underserved small commercial sector. As well as a Lecturer at Stanford University where he teaches two courses Racial Equity in Energy and Quest for an Inclusive Clean Energy Economy.

Born in Nashville, TN and raised in Baltimore, MD; Anthony holds a B.S. in Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) from North Carolina A&T State University and a PhD in CEE from Stanford University. His expertise is in sustainable design and construction, and energy efficiency analytics. In addition, Anthony is a certified energy manager and has worked and lived in the United Arab Emirates and Australia.

Anthony is committed to improving the quality of life of those most disadvantaged. His active involvement in understanding wage theft in the construction industry, was recognized by the City of San Jose. Moreover, his active participation in the design and implementation of Stanford’s workforce program has introduced the concept of environmental justice to hundreds of high school students. When Anthony is not spending time with his wife, Maria and son, Marcus, he enjoys mentoring high school and college students. Anthony’s favorite quote also reflects the way he lives his life,
