HOW PROJECT CANARY WORKS

Easy to Deploy, Easy to Use

Simple Deployment

start chirping in only 3 easy steps

Deployment is simple and requires no field preparation, installation or configuration
on the part of the operator. No external power source is needed.

STEP 1

Put a post in the ground –
that’s it

Place a unit at each corner of the wellsite or property. A small solar panel powers a sensor tucked under the birdhouse, which detects natural gas emissions down to parts per billion.

STEP 2

connect to the canary cloud, automatically

A tiny cellular radio connects Project Canary units to the cloud, sending data to Project Canary servers. With a convenient birdhouse container that doubles as a wildlife habitat, the flock runs on solar power and requires little upkeep.

STEP 3

Monitor and receive
Real-Time Alerts

Should a leak be detected, Canary alerts the producer, and the leak can be repaired immediately. It’s always on, always monitoring, eliminating the need for inefficient and ineffective random inspections.

Get to Work!

Mobile Alerts

The Canary Cloud has servers running complex algorithms to keep an eye on every site. Sifting through torrents of data, Project Canary servers detect gas anomalies and alert the operators and field workers who can quickly repair leaks.

Web Dashboard

Each installation comes with a highly secure web dashboard that allows authorized users to see every site in real time. The dashboard shows both current levels and a running 24-hour review.

SIMPLE TO DEPLOY

Put a stake in the ground. Strap on a unit, and…(Actually, that’s it. There is no step 3.)

REST API

Project Canary is designed from the ground up for integration. The back-end Application Programming Interface enables authenticated access via webhooks, REST API function calls, or .csv downloads.

CONNECTIVITY

Each unit is cellular enabled for continuous connectivity to the cloud.

A REAL BIRDHOUSE

In addition to being a highly sophisticated, solar powered, wireless gas emissions monitor, Project Canary bird houses provide habitat for bluebirds.
