PROJECT CANARY did not install onto my computer. What’s wrong?

Please ensure that you have completed the following checks and updates on your computer:

Processor: Intel Core i7 2.66GHz

Memory: 6GB DDR3

Hard drive free space: 20GB

Video card: GeForce GTX 275 (896Meg of memory)

Optical drive: DVD reader dual layer

Operating System: Windows XP or Vista

  • All other programs are closed before beginning the installation
  • The drivers for your computer's video card are up to date. Contact the card manufacturer for more information
  • The drivers for your computer's sound card are up to date. Contact the card manufacturer for more information
  • You may be asked to choose whether to install for just your login or anyone who uses the computer. If you choose to install PROJECT CANARY only for you, then only you can use it

“Insufficient disc space” What’s wrong?

There is not enough space left on your hard-drive to install PROJECT CANARY (refer to minimum system specifications). You can either remove some other programs to free up space, or contact your System Administrator for alternate solutions.

I am seeing a "Permission denied" message. What do I do?

Your login to the computer does not allow you to install programs. You should ask your System Administrator for assistance

My disc only has Scenario 1 on it, where are the other scenarios?

PROJECT CANARY is being launched as a product in development. If you have purchased the pre-release of PROJECT CANARY your disc will only contain Scenario 1. The other scenarios will be available via a DVD that will be sent out to clients along with the trainer guides

Where are the trainer results files saved?

By default the results files are saved to you computer in the following folder: C:\Program Files\MISC\Project Canary\Trainer Results

How do I move in the game?

Refer to the guide below:
• Press W to move forward
• Press S to move backward
• Press A to step left
• Press D to step right
• Press Shift and W, S, A or D to walk faster in that direction

What happens if I lose my PROJECT CANARY disc?

PROJECT CANARY is a valuable software item designed to significantly improve the quality of training.  We therefore recommend that this software is included with your other business insurance coverage.  Unfortunately, we are unable to replace a lost disc under an organisation's existing license.

Why can't I copy the PROJECT CANARY disc?

There is one set of discs available for each license that has been acquired.  It is a condition of your license agreement that discs are not copied or modified.
