About the Project
Hazard Awareness Scenario
The first scenario incorporates core adult learning principles and is designed to be used in a facilitator-led classroom. The scenario is based in a mine site workshop and the learner is required to perform a clean-up while identifying key hazards in their surroundings. They are required to perform risk assessments, following tagging and isolation procedures as well as implementing appropriate risk controls.
Learning outcomes, including the ability to:
1. Identify hazards
2. Assess risks and identify unacceptable risks
3. Identify, analyse and implement risk controls
4. Complete records and reports
5. Work with hazardous substances
6. Appropriately using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
7. Apply tagging and isolation processes
8. Apply correct manual handling techniques
